Thirsty only up to
two issues so far, in script form only... just
finished the second issue in August 2009, having had the
material in different places for years. still looking for an
illustrator and working on subsequent issues... in slackerly
fashion. Too many projects going on and this one is too close
to home to put at a distance, so... it gets lost in its
parenting, because it is lived instead of written most of the
time.. Or something. Hard to explain.
Thirsty is an
unconventional vampire story, in that the vampires are the
protagonists who do not suck the blood of innocents and in no
way regret their status as vampires. They have a network of
'blood donor' human friends and it is their creed to live life
as well as possible, as immortals. They also sometimes must
face off against the 'predator' vampires who do not share so
'humanitarian' an outlook on their station
The
first novel by 23 year old St. Louis writer Scott Thomas
Smith. A band called 'Down With Strangers' takes over the
world and lives to tell the tale.
a short film I made a in Spring
2008 for a competition through KDHX which had to be exactly three minutes
long. Turned out a little lo-fi since I didn't get to use some of the
equipment I expected to, but it went pretty well. One of these days I will
remix it for clarity's sake, just don't have the footage on disk so will
have to get it off the tapes.. CREDITS
